Angler's Edge™ ("Angler's Edge," "we," "us," or "the App") is a fishing companion, education, analysis, and training application owned by Paul Yetto. This Privacy Policy describes the information we collect, how we use and protect it, and the choices you have.

By using Angler's Edge™, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy. Capitalized terms not defined here have the meaning given in our Terms of Use.

1. Information We Collect

Angler's Edge™ may collect and process:

• Account and profile information, such as email address, user ID, display name, avatar, bio, fishing preferences, experience level, ZIP code, account preferences, and subscription or access status.
• Fishing data, including catches, trips, locations, gear, lures, waypoints, depth information, practice sessions, lake information, notes, and other saved fishing records.
• Precise location when you choose location-based features.
• Photo EXIF or GPS location information when available in photos you upload.
• Photos and other files you upload to the App.
• Community and user-generated content, including posts, comments, reviews, tips, forum content, messages, reports, likes, and follows.
• Inputs and information you provide for fishing-analysis, educational, recommendation, simulation, and AI-assisted features.
• Subscription identifiers and status needed to provide account entitlements.
• Push-notification subscription information.
• Technical and security information used for authentication, rate limiting, misuse prevention, troubleshooting, and application operation.

2. How We Use Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide, operate, and maintain Angler's Edge™ features.
• Create and manage your account and provide subscription or access entitlements.
• Provide fishing forecasts, analysis, recommendations, education, simulation, and AI-assisted features.
• Display and organize your catches, trips, waypoints, gear, and other saved fishing records.
• Provide community features such as posts, comments, reviews, tips, forum content, messaging, likes, and follows.
• Send push notifications and other account-related communications you have enabled.
• Maintain security, prevent misuse, enforce our Terms, and troubleshoot the App.
• Comply with legal obligations and protect the rights, property, or safety of Angler's Edge™, our users, or others.

3. Location Information

When you choose location-based features, Angler's Edge™ may collect and use precise location. Location information may be transmitted as necessary to mapping, weather, hydrology, water-condition, geocoding, and nearby-place service providers to provide the requested features. You can avoid transmitting location by not using the location-based features.

4. Photos and Uploaded Files

Photos and other files you upload are stored to support the features you choose to use, such as catch logging, community posts, and gear records. Photos may contain EXIF or GPS metadata. When you upload content, you grant Angler's Edge™ the limited license described in our Terms of Use.

5. AI-Assisted Features

Certain photos and other feature inputs may be processed by AI or language-model services when you request AI-assisted features such as species identification, fishing recommendations, analysis, or educational responses. These services may be provided by third parties and may retain or process inputs as necessary to provide the requested feature.

6. Community Content and Messaging

Information you post or submit through community features — including posts, comments, reviews, tips, forum content, and messages — may be visible to other users consistent with the visibility settings you choose. Reports, likes, and follows may also be visible or used to support community features.

7. Payments and Subscriptions

Subscription payments are processed by authorized third-party payment providers or app stores. Angler's Edge™ does not normally receive or store complete payment-card numbers, CVV numbers, or bank-account credentials. We may receive subscription identifiers and status information needed to provide your account entitlements.

8. Service Providers

We use third-party service providers to support Angler's Edge™, including hosting, data storage, authentication, mapping, weather, hydrology, water-condition, geocoding, nearby-place, payment, notification, and AI services. These providers may process information as necessary to provide their services and are subject to their own privacy and security practices.

9. Affiliate Links

Angler's Edge™ may use affiliate links, including through the Amazon Associates program. We may receive a commission from qualifying purchases made through affiliate links. Using an affiliate link does not increase the price charged to you.

10. Selling Personal Information / Advertising

Angler's Edge™ does not sell personal information to advertisers or data brokers for monetary compensation and does not currently use advertising SDKs or cross-app tracking for targeted advertising.

11. Notifications

If you enable push notifications, Angler's Edge™ stores push-notification subscription information necessary to deliver notifications. You may adjust or disable notifications through your device or app settings.

12. Data Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to help protect information within Angler's Edge™. No system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee the absolute security of your information.

13. Data Retention

We retain information for as long as your account is active or as necessary to provide the features you use, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce our agreements, protect rights, and support legitimate business operations. Some information may be retained in backups or system records as part of normal platform operation.

14. Subscription Cancellation vs. Account Deletion

Cancelling a subscription ends your access to paid features according to the applicable provider's terms, but does not by itself delete your Angler's Edge™ account or your saved information. Account deletion and subscription cancellation are separate actions except where expressly stated as part of an account-deletion process.

15. Account and Data Deletion

You may request permanent deletion of your Angler's Edge™ account and associated user-owned application data through the account-deletion process. Covered application records are deleted or anonymized as applicable by the account-deletion process.

Some information may be retained where necessary or permitted for legal, security, fraud-prevention, accounting, support, backup, dispute-resolution, or other legitimate operational purposes.

Known platform limitations: Angler's Edge™ does not currently have a confirmed supported mechanism to guarantee deletion of the underlying platform authentication identity. The platform may not provide a supported mechanism to permanently erase every underlying stored file object associated with previously uploaded files. Angler's Edge™ does not claim that every underlying storage copy, backup, authentication record, or uploaded file object is physically erased.

16. Your Choices

You can:

• Update or remove profile and fishing-preference information within the App.
• Adjust or disable location and notification permissions through your device settings.
• Manage or cancel subscriptions through the applicable provider.
• Request deletion of your account and associated data.

17. Children's Privacy

Angler's Edge™ is not directed to children under the age required to use the App under applicable law, and we do not knowingly collect information from children in a manner inconsistent with applicable law. If you believe a child has provided information to us, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.

18. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. The current revision date appears at the top of this page. Continued use of Angler's Edge™ after updated terms become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy to the extent permitted by applicable law.
